24 hours of art 
instruction, activity and mentoring 

From 9 am to 9 pm we will make art together at the table, on the floor, in the park, at the art museum, in the trees, and on the walls. We will make our own sketchbooks from scratch and fill each page by the time we are done.

Each student will come home with a a full sketchbook, a framed work of art, and the ability to take an idea through the art making process and complete beautiul finished work, independently.  

I will model the art making process by working along side them on my own work. The girls will follow me through this simple process...
  1. Sketch until I've drawn something I'm excited about. 
  2. Build a design around the subject of the sketch, adding context. It could be as simple as a background environment, pattern, texture, or a story with characters. 
  3. Adapt the design to a specific style and complete my finished product. More than once if possible.
